Cobble's Curated Walks are immersive audio experiences, following carefully planned routes through London. On a Cobble walk, you'll get immersive access to fascinating historical stories linked together by their geography, their period in history, or a theme they have in common. As you walk, Cobble tracks your location and knows just when to play the next part of the story, meaning you're always in just the right spot to look out for the very place where something fascinating happened. All you have to do is the follow the instructions that come through on your headphones, and if you get stuck, the map on your phone screen will show you where to go.

We don't write our stories in chronological order, or in a simple narrative order - Cobble's storytelling is chronological, narrative, and geographical all at once. We plot out our stops and stories so that you get the best of all three - interesting routes around London's varied streets, stories woven together into a compelling narrative, and history stitched together to bring the past to life. It's a bit like asking why you need a screen to watch a film!

Yes! Once you've got a particular walk through Cobble's app, you can enjoy it as many times as you like. Don't forget to 'star' your favourite stops and stories so we can find out more about which parts of the walk you enjoy most!

No - all you need is GPS so we can use location technology to deliver your stories at the right time. We know how expensive data roaming can be - and how jammed central London's networks can get sometimes - so you can download all our Cobble walks before you set off from the comfort of your home or hotel Wi-Fi network.
